Job Description
Johnson's Modern Electric is seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Foreman to lead electrical crews on commercial and/or multifamily construction projects across North & South Carolina. The Electrical Foreman is responsible for supervising electricians on job sites, coordinating daily work activities, ensuring installations meet project specifications, and maintaining high safety and quality standards. Scope of Work Oversees the installation of electrical systems on commercial and/or multifamily construction projects. This role coordinates manpower, materials, and equipment while ensuring work is completed according to electrical drawings, project specifications, and the National Electrical Code (NEC). The foreman acts as the primary leader for the electrical crew on site and works closely with superintendents and project managers to ensure successful project execution. Responsibilities Supervise and lead a team of electricians and apprentices on construction job sites Plan and coordinate daily work activities to maintain project schedules Read and interpret electrical blueprints, specifications, and project documents Ensure installations meet National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and project requirements Coordinate manpower, tools, materials, and equipment needed for the job Monitor work quality and ensure high standards of workmanship Maintain a safe work environment and enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards Communicate regularly with project managers and superintendents regarding project progress Identify and resolve field issues that may impact schedule or quality Train and mentor apprentice electricians and less experienced crew members Maintain accurate records including daily reports, material usage, and job progress Position Requirements 10+ Years experience in commercial electrical construction Previous leadership or foreman experience preferred Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and construction documents Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Experience coordinating crews and managing job site productivity Valid driver's license in order to operate company issued vehicle Working Conditions Work performed on active commercial and industrial construction sites Work may be indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions(rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.) Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing ladders Ability to lift 50+ pounds when necessary May require working at heights or operating power tools and equipment Why Join Johnson's Modern Electric?
