Position Overview:
Plumbing Foreman A Foreman at Southern Air is a highly skilled leader, typically with 10-12 years of experience and preferably holding a Master Plumber License . Foremen oversee job sites, ensure all work meets required standards, and lead teams with professionalism, safety, and integrity. This position is ideal for someone who is confident, organized, and capable of running projects of any size or complexity. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Attitude Demonstrate a confident, "take charge," solutions‑focused attitude Lead and motivate crews while maintaining positive relationships Share knowledge and promote team growth Maintain a professional, respectful, "win‑win" mindset Attendance & Work Ethic Lead by example with strong attendance and punctuality Arrive early to organize daily tasks Ensure crews work full shifts productively Plan work at least two weeks ahead Maintain a clean, organized, safe jobsite Safety Enforce all OSHA and company safety policies Ensure proper PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, steel‑toed shoes, etc.) Conduct weekly safety meetings Respond appropriately to accidents or incidents Consult with the Safety Coordinator when needed Technical Expertise & Code Compliance Perform and supervise all aspects of the plumbing trade Ensure all work meets or exceeds trade standards and code requirements Interpret blueprints accurately Complete documentation such as change orders, logs, and time cards promptly Maintain accurate as‑built drawings Delegate tasks effectively and ensure proper follow‑through Problem Solving & Decision Making Identify issues quickly and determine known facts Develop alternative solutions and choose the best option Recognize when a situation requires higher‑level support Planning & Scheduling Plan tasks in proper sequence to meet project timelines Determine necessary manpower, tools, and equipment Coordinate with Lead Mechanics and the Project Manager Schedule material deliveries and organize storage efficiently Human Relations & Communication Communicate clearly — verbally and in writing Motivate and mentor team members Delegate responsibly and verify completion Demonstrate fairness, decisiveness, enthusiasm, and leadership Commitment to Company Vision Understand and support Southern Air's mission and goals Represent the company with professionalism and pride Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
