Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Journeyman Electrician who will also serve as a Project Manager and Field Supervisor to lead electrical projects from start to finish. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee diverse construction and renovation projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on every job site. The ideal candidate will possess a strong electrical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks seamlessly. Your energy and motivation will drive project success while maintaining compliance with all safety standards and electrical codes. Responsibilities Lead and supervise electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities on various construction sites, including commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation of electrical systems. Manage project timelines, coordinate with clients, contractors, and team members to meet project goals efficiently. Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC), safety regulations, and industry standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, low voltage equipment, ohmmeters, and other testing devices to diagnose issues and verify system integrity. Oversee the installation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrical systems, high voltage and low voltage wiring. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, safety inspections, and project progress reports. Supervise field personnel, assign tasks effectively, and ensure adherence to safety protocols at all times. Troubleshoot complex electrical problems using schematics and technical manuals; perform renovation work as needed. Support the development of team members through mentorship and training in electrical best practices. Qualifications Valid Journeyman Electrician license with proven experience in industrial or commercial electrical work. Extensive construction site experience with a focus on electrical installations; familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics is essential. Strong knowledge of NEC standards, high voltage systems, low voltage wiring, and industrial electrician practices. Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics interpretation, ohmmeters, power tools, hand tools, and renovation techniques. Ability to read blueprints accurately and translate plans into actionable tasks on-site. Experience managing projects or supervising field teams in a construction environment is highly preferred. Skilled in framing carpentry or handyman tasks is a plus for versatile project support. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with clients and team members effectively.
