Full Job Description Position Summary/General Description:
The foreman will be responsible for the daily operation and overall crew performance of assigned project(s). They will work with the Superintendent, General Superintendent, and Project Management team to understand and execute the needs and goals of assigned projects. The Foreman will manage and provide guidance to assigned journeymen, apprentices, and electrical laborers for their project(s) to ensure that the project(s) are completed according to contract documents and the project schedule.

Project Schedule vs. Actual Work Complete To-Date R e s p o ns i b i l i t i e s : Provide supervision of skilled, semi-skilled, and support staff performing installation, troubleshooting, repair, calibration, modification and development of a wide variety of electrical systems. Coordinate with assigned Superintendent all manpower needs, such as additional or reduction of crew. Oversee assigned journeymen, apprentices, and electrical laborers. Ensure the crew understands their assigned tasks as well as any job specific requirements. Ensure that work is completed in accordance with the plans and specifications, according to schedule, and in a workman like manner. Adhere to and enforce all policy and procedures, work site rules, practices, standard operating procedures, and safety policies. Report any discipline issues of assigned crew (i.e., attendance, dress code, behavior and performance) to Superintendent immediately to ensure proper action is taken. Strictly enforce substance and alcohol abuse (or suspicion of abuse) in collaboration with the Superintendent and Human Resources. Report any violation of EEOC employment laws including harassment, discrimination, etc. to the Superintendent and Human Resources. Document and report all safety violations, near misses, and accidents immediately (or as soon as it is safe to). Coordinate efforts with the Superintendent, General Superintendent, and Safety Manager to determine the best resolution to the situation, and how to prevent similar incidents in the future. Enforce reporting, break, lunch, clean up, a n d quitting time. Enforce good housekeeping practices in all work areas. Perform a weekly "Toolbox Talk" with the assigned crew. Topics will either be provided, or should include safety awareness, current site conditions, and overall task awareness. Review and maintain project schedule with all associated activities. Complete on a weekly basis a 3-Week Look Ahead schedule. Review the 3-Week with the Superintendent weekly. Complete and maintain a Daily Log for each assigned project. Daily Logs are to be completed daily at the end of the shift. If required, obtain a signature from the General Contractor. Maintain accurate Daily Sign-In sheets. Assist crew with recording hours on timecards and submitting records in time recording software. Maintain a set of "As-Built" drawings on-site. Ensure that any changes are recorded daily. Review weekly with the Superintendent. Must maintain a working knowledge of the plans and specifications for each project. Consult with the Superintendent if any clarification or interpretation is required. Track and report to the Superintendent all jobsite changes that could lead to an RFI, a T&M, a Change Order, or a report to the general contractor/engineer. Coordinate on-site with all general contractor/customer representatives to ensure schedule is maintained, installation conflicts are resolved, and overall completion of required installation is maintained. Coordinate with on-site subcontractors to ensure daily reports are received, schedule is maintained, and scope of work is performed satisfactorily. Provide Material Requests and Equipment Requests at least (2) weeks in advance of any needed material. Coordinate with the Superintendent on any special needs such as non-standard materials and warehouse stored equipment. Coordinate with the Superintendent any inspection requests. Be on-site on the day of the scheduled inspection to walk with the inspector and address any concerns. During periods where paperwork does not need to be completed, or coordination is not needed, work with the assigned crew installing the electrical scope. Performs additional duties and responsibilities as necessary or assigned. Licensing, E d u ca t i on & E x pe r i enc e : High Schol Diploma or equivalent required. State of New Mexico Journeyman License (EE98). Minimum two (3) years' experience as a Journeyman Electrician. OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred. Valid driver's license. Ability to understand and interpret drawings and specifications. Ability to use testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools. Proficient in use and understanding of all electrical codes, including State/Local requirements. Must pass a pre-employment alcohol/drug screening.
