Full-Time Position Overview JGF Built is seeking an experienced and motivated Utility Foreman to join our growing civil construction team. The Utility Foreman will oversee daily field operations related to underground utility installation including storm drain, water, sewer, and site infrastructure work. This position requires strong leadership, safety awareness, and the ability to manage crews, equipment, production schedules, and project quality in a fast-paced construction environment. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily underground utility operations Read and interpret plans, specifications, grades, and utility layouts Manage crews installing storm drain, sewer, waterline, and related infrastructure Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, inspectors, and project management Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications Operate and oversee excavation activities, trenching, pipe installation, and backfill operations Maintain daily production tracking and field documentation Schedule materials, equipment, and manpower needs Ensure OSHA safety compliance and enforce company safety policies Identify and resolve field conflicts and constructability issues Conduct daily safety meetings and toolbox talks Qualifications 10+ years of underground utility construction experience Previous foreman or crew leadership experience preferred Strong knowledge of storm drain, sewer, water, grading, and excavation operations Ability to read construction drawings and grade stakes Experience working around heavy equipment and trench safety requirements Strong communication and leadership skills Valid driver's license required OSHA certification preferred Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Preferred Experience Civil site development DOT and municipal utility projects Deep utility installation GPS and laser grade systems Pipe crew management and scheduling Benefits Competitive Pay (DOE) Company Vehicle or Vehicle Allowance (if applicable) Opportunities for Advancement Stable Year-Round Work Apply Today Join a team that values hard work, accountability, safety, and quality construction.
