Job Description

Lead a timber frame crew all over the United States! Timberbuilt is seeking a skilled and motivated Foreman to lead one of our traveling field crews building custom timber frame homes across North and South America. This role is ideal for someone with strong construction knowledge, leadership ability, and a passion for travel and environmentally conscious building. Each project is unique, requiring adaptability, problem-solving, and close collaboration with our architects and design team to ensure successful execution. What We Build We specialize in hybrid timber frame homes that combine traditional timber framing with modern stick framing techniques. Our structures use Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) for walls and roofing, creating efficient, high-performance homes assembled like a life-sized puzzle—often in remote locations. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a crew of 4-6 workers on-site Plan and execute daily construction tasks Ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards Maintain clear communication with management and clients Track progress, schedules, deliveries, and labor hours Document builds with photos and updates Train and onboard new crew members Uphold safety, organization, and efficiency at all times Schedule & Travel Projects typically last 1-3 weeks 3-10 days off between projects Travel required across North and South America Building season: March-December Off-season (Jan-March): indoor shop work in North Collins, NY Training period provided based on experience Qualifications Prior experience as a foreman or crew leader Framing and/or installation experience Ability to read construction/architectural drawings Proficient with power tools Physically fit; able to work on feet all day Comfortable working at heights (ladders required) Able to perform in varying climates and conditions Experience with telehandlers/forklifts preferred Positive, team-oriented, and customer-focused attitude What We Offer Competitive salary with overtime (time + ½) Opportunities for advancement and regular raises Mileage reimbursement 401(k) with company match Travel bonuses Unique, travel-based career in sustainable construction How to Apply Apply online at: Timberbuilt.com/about/careers/carpenters-and-assemblers Be sure to mention you are applying for the Foreman position in the notes section.
