HVAC/MEP
Field Superintendent oversees the daily field operations of installation projects throughout the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky markets. This position ensures projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to Enervise's quality standards. The supervisor serves as the on-site leader for field crews and subcontractors, working closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to deliver successful results. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all phases of HVAC/Plumbing/BAS system installation, start-up, and commissioning on commercial projects. Interpret project plans, mechanical drawings, and specifications to guide installation activities. Lead field crews and subcontractors to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Enforce Enervise and OSHA safety policies; conduct regular jobsite safety meetings and inspections. Manage daily scheduling of labor, procurement of materials, tracking equipment deliveries, and managing subcontractor activities. Track project progress against schedules; communicate updates, delays, and solutions to the VP of Projects Execution. Review and approve field documentation, including timesheets, material usage, and change orders. Participate in layout, material take-offs, submittal reviews, and equipment procurement as needed. Conduct quality inspections to ensure HVAC systems—including ductwork, piping, controls, and equipment—meet specifications and code requirements. Support final inspections, punch list completion, commissioning, and turnover to service teams or clients. Foster a culture of professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement among field staff. Qualifications Education & Certifications High School Diploma or GED required. Technical school or trade certification in HVAC, mechanical, or related fields preferred.OSHA 10/30
certification and EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification preferred. Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Experience Minimum of 10 years of trade installation or service experience, with at least 4 years in a supervisory or foreman role. Proven track record managing trade projects. Experience working in occupied facilities, healthcare, education, or industrial settings is a plus Skills & Competencies Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications. Solid knowledge of HVAC/plumbing/BAS/electrical systems, installation methods, and mechanical codes. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously. Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills. Budget awareness and cost control capabilities. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Majority of work is performed at job sites in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area. Regular standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, and construction environments. Occasional travel between multiple project sites.
