Job Description

Grove Construction is seeking an experienced Concrete Foreman to lead a commercial flat work crew across its Millersburg and Alliance, Ohio operations. This is a hands-on field leadership role for someone who can read blueprints, set layout, and run a crew on complex commercial pours, the kind of work behind projects for clients like Dollar General, Taco Bell, and Panda Express. Grove Construction is growing, systemizing how it works, and building a team of crew leaders who deliver quality under pressure and develop the people around them. The right foreman will find steady work, their own consistent crew, and a real path to grow with the company. The Opportunity This is a field leadership role with real ownership of a crew. Grove Construction is hiring two Concrete Foremen, one based out of Millersburg and one out of the Alliance area, each leading a consistent crew of three to four, including an assistant foreman who reports to you. You will run commercial flat work: large interior slabs, plus exterior sidewalks, curbing, parking lot approaches, and dumpster pads on projects throughout Northeast Ohio. Your focus is the field. You will read blueprints, set and check layout, lead your crew through each phase of the pour, and coordinate the materials your crew needs on site, while the project manager handles estimating, scheduling, and client coordination. You will build a real relationship with a crew that stays with you rather than rotating day to day, and you will help develop your assistant foreman as the company grows. The Ideal Candidate You are an experienced commercial concrete foreman with deep flat work expertise. You have run large interior slab pours and exterior work such as sidewalks, curbing, approaches, and dumpster pads, and you understand the complexity and pace that commercial work demands. Ideally you bring eight to fifteen years of experience; commercial experience is essential, because commercial work is a different game from residential. You can read blueprints and set survey stakes, and experience with a total station for layout is a strong plus. You lead by delegating rather than doing everything yourself, you stay composed under pressure, and you know how to build and develop a crew. Experience with walls and foundations is welcome, but flat work is the core of these roles. You are reliable and at home in the field, comfortable with early starts and full days through the busy season, and you take pride in showing up and leading well.
