Job Description

Cairns Consulting is contracted with a growing local excavation and sitework company that is seeking an experienced Working Foreman to help lead and manage field operations as they continue expanding. Work truck will be provided. This is a leadership role for someone who can bridge the gap between customers, field crews, and company management while still being willing and capable of working hands-on in the field when needed. The ideal candidate can take ownership of projects, keep crews productive, maintain professionalism with customers, and help ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Responsibilities Lead and manage excavation and sitework crews on residential and commercial projects Oversee daily operations across one or multiple job sites as needed Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, grades, utility drawings, and elevations Coordinate jobsite scheduling, workflow, materials, subcontractors, and equipment Communicate professionally with customers, inspectors, subcontractors, and company management Operate heavy equipment when necessary Monitor project progress, productivity, and quality control Identify and solve field issues before they become larger problems Ensure crews maintain safety standards, organization, and accountability Report daily progress, delays, change orders, and equipment/material needs to management Help maintain a professional company image and strong customer relationships Qualifications Strong background in excavation, grading, utilities, drainage, and sitework Previous foreman, superintendent, or field leadership experience highly preferred Ability to read and understand blueprints, grades, and construction drawings Experience with layout, elevations, and GPS/machine control systems is a plus Ability to manage multiple moving parts and prioritize efficiently Experience operating heavy equipment Class A CDL preferred Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Self-motivated, organized, and dependable Ability to lead crews while maintaining production and professionalism What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who wants to grow with a company that is focused on expansion, professionalism, and long-term success. Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
