Asphalt Field Technician Certification (Required) The Opportunity You will serve as a pivotal field leader, directing the successful execution of complex paving operations for high-stakes government and federal infrastructure projects. This role empowers you to manage expert crews while ensuring the highest standards of grade and compaction are met. You will have the autonomy to drive project results for a company that prioritizes your technical expertise and professional growth. This is a working foreman position, and you must be fit and able to be hands on with equipment in these projects. How You Will Make an Impact Direct daily paving operations to ensure all work aligns with strict federal project specifications and timelines. Interpret detailed project plans and blueprints to accurately calculate blacktop tonnages and resource requirements. Supervise field crews by delegating tasks and maintaining a high standard of safety and quality on the job site. Monitor site grades and asphalt compaction levels to guarantee the structural integrity of every project. Coordinate multitasking efforts between logistics, material delivery, and on-site execution to prevent project delays. Execute high-quality paving workflows that uphold the company's reputation for excellence in general construction. Able to make quick common sense decisions in critical moments. Asphalt Field Technician Certification (Required) Valid Driver's License required (Real ID Preferred) Proven ability to read and interpret complex construction plans and engineered drawings. Technical proficiency in calculating material tonnages and managing grade/compaction requirements. Absolute willingness to travel to various project assignments as required by the business. Preferred Qualifications & Experience High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Demonstrated experience in mentoring junior crew members in a field environment. Advanced knowledge of specialized paving equipment and government-spec materials. Being bilingual would be a plus. Compensation & Benefits Weekly pay cycle with prevailing wage rates based on project assignments. Fringe benefits paid directly in your paycheck (maximum holdback of 7.70 per hour).
