Responsible for supervising field installation, coordinating with other trades, maintaining schedules, enforcing safety, interpreting drawings, and supporting testing and commissioning of piping systems in compliance with applicable codes. Required Experience 5-15+ years of commercial/industrial pipefitting experience Prior experience as Foreman or Lead Pipefitter Strong knowledge of piping systems (process, hydronic, steam, gas, HVAC, etc.) In-depth understanding of codes (ASME, ANSI, local/state codes) Proven experience overseeing crews, apprentices, and subcontractors Core Responsibilities to Confirm
  • Read and interpret piping, mechanical, architectural, and structural drawings
  • Assign and verify pipefitting work quality and productivity
  • Plan labor, materials, tools, and equipment ahead of schedule
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, vendors, and other trades
  • Track manpower, hours, and production against project timelines
  • Identify conflicts and manage as-builts and field changes
  • Support pressure testing, flushing, startup, and commissioning
  • Receive materials and coordinate deliveries
  • Train apprentices and develop journeymen
  • Conduct toolbox talks, JSAs/JHAs, and enforce site safety Certifications & Training OSHA 10-hour (30-hour preferred) First Aid & CPR Willingness to complete foreman/leadership and trade coordination training Leadership & Soft Skills Strong field leadership and crew accountability Clear and professional communication Sound decision-making and problem-solving Ability to instruct pipefitters of all skill levels Organized, safety-focused, and deadline-driven Technology Skills Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (tracking labor, materials, schedules) Teams/Zoom for meetings and coordination Ideal Candidate Snapshot A hands-on pipefitting leader who can run crews, plan work, coordinate trades, enforce safety, and deliver quality pipe installations on schedule and within budget.
Pay:
$40.00 - $45.00 per hour
