Job Description
The Sanitary Board of the City of Charleston, WV (CSB) is a municipal sewer utility serving Charleston and adjacent areas of Kanawha County, WV. General Description The Charleston Sanitary Board is seeking a Camera Crew Operator in the Maintenance Division of its Collection Department. This position reports directly to a Camera Crew Foreman and is responsible for assisting the Camera Foreman in conducting closed circuit television inspections and line locations in the CSB's sanitary and combined sewer system. Essential Duties Responsible for conducting closed circuit television inspections and line locations in the CSB's sanitary and combined sewer system. Uses remote controlled cameras to examine the internal condition of sewer lines. Identifies problems like blockages, cracks, root intrusion, and pipe deterioration without invasive excavation. Assisting the Camera Crew Foreman. Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Good computer skills Understanding of sanitary and combined sewer collection systems Mechanical aptitude Working knowledge of video recording equipment Ability to lift 125 pounds Ability to make sketches and drawings of field conditions Must be able to read blueprints and keep records Technical degree in Engineering or related field a plus This position requires mandatory overtime and being on call.
