Up to $2,500 Payment Schedule $500.00 of the approved sign-on bonus will be paid after hire and completion of onboarding requirements The remaining amount will be paid after the employee successfully completes 90 days of employment in good standing Job Summary Are you a skilled, safety-minded electrical professional who thrives in fast-paced environments? A Degree Above Heating & Air is seeking a Traveling Electrical Foreman to lead our field crews. In this role, you will be a working foreman—overseeing daily field operations, managing installations, troubleshooting complex issues, and keeping projects safely on schedule. A strong background in commercial retail and big-box store remodels (e.g., Walmart, Target, Sam's Club) is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Field Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and oversee journeymen and apprentices on daily service, maintenance, and installation tasks. Conduct morning briefings and maintain efficient team workflow.
On-Site Field Operations:
Perform hands-on electrical installations, wiring, modifications, and physical labor directly on the job site alongside the crew to ensure project milestones are met.
Technical Execution:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan job site logistics. Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of wiring, panels, lighting, and control systems.
Troubleshooting & Safety:
Safely work with high-voltage systems to resolve complex field issues. Enforce strict OSHA, NEC, and local building code compliance, and lead regular safety/toolbox meetings.
Project Logistics:
Monitor tool and equipment inventory, maintain accurate project documentation/inspection records, and coordinate daily with office dispatch and scheduling teams.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of electrical field experience with proven leadership or foreman capabilities.
Industry Focus:
Experience executing fast-paced commercial retail remodels or big-box store expansions is strongly preferred .
Licensing:
Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License (e.g., SC LLR credentials) is highly preferred .
Certifications:
OSHA 10 or 30, Lockout/Tagout, and Lift Operation Certifications are strongly preferred .
Requirements:
Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and a deep commitment to site safety. Benefits & Perks Paid Time Off (PTO): Generous PTO package provided according to company policy, accruing based on your position and tenure.
Holiday Pay Premium:
Working on a holiday is sometimes required due to project schedules. If you work on a company-recognized holiday, you will receive time and a half (1.5x) .
Observed holidays include:
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
Supplemental Health Benefits:
After 90 days, you are eligible to enroll in voluntary supplemental plans (Dental, Vision, Critical Illness, Short-Term Disability, Hospitalization, Accidental Injury, and Life Insurance). The Company contributes a $40/month allowance toward your premiums.
Company Vehicle:
A company-provided work vehicle and transportation logistics are supplied for project operations, typically assigned between 30 to 90 days of employment.
Home Visit Stipend:
After completing your 90-day probationary period, you become eligible for an additional travel stipend to support trips back home between project phases (up to 8 travel stipends allowed per calendar year) .
