Description Audubon is currently seeking a Foreman to join our team in our Offsite Office. The Forman•Pipefitter/Weldingleads, supervises, and coordinates crews to install,maintain, and repair industrial piping systems.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Read blueprints andspecificationtodeterminethe scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materialsrequired. Identifyall toolsrequiredfor tasks. Identifysafety risks and the precautionsrequiredtoeliminatethose risks. Illustrate in-depth knowledge of all pipe fitting processes. Tacticallyplanoperations for scheduling workloads in crews efficientlyutilizingassets and resources to minimize cost. Managecrewsof5-10regardingprocesses, scheduling, costs, employee relations issues, and employment needs. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Provide leadership to others throughexampleandsharing ofknowledge/skill. Inspects work to ensure compliance with codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM) andenforcesstrict safety protocols to prevent accidents. Orders, manages, and tracks materials, tools, and equipment needed for jobs.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Responsibilities:

This includes:
Performing duties in a manner that protects personal and team health and safety Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Related trade school education is preferred. Five years' experience in the construction industry. Five years' experience as a pipefitter. Must be able to obtain site and Safety training certifications required for the project. Pipefitter construction and quality assurance practices and procedures. Construction safety practices. Proven experience as civil construction carpenter. In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and HSE guidelines. Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to communicate and report effectively. Aptitude in math and problem-solving abilities. Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions. Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently when required. Ability to motivate, lead, teach and train on proper work and safety procedures. Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems. Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
