Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Substation Electrical Foreman to lead crews in the construction, maintenance, and commissioning of high-voltage substation projects. This role is responsible for supervising daily field operations, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on schedule. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong substation experience who can effectively manage crews, communicate with management and clients, and set the standard for safe, high-quality work. Responsibilities Lead and supervise substation electrical crews on active job sites Plan and coordinate daily work activities, manpower, and equipment Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company, utility, and OSHA requirements Install, maintain, and troubleshoot substation equipment including transformers, breakers, switches, bus, and grounding systems Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and work scopes Monitor job progress, productivity, and quality of workmanship Serve as the primary field point of contact for project management and customer representatives Complete daily reports, time tracking, and documentation as required Mentor and develop crew members Qualifications Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience required Prior foreman or lead experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of substation construction methods and safety practices Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and specifications Excellent communication and leadership skills Willingness to travel and work overtime as required Valid driver's license Preferred Experience Utility substation experience Experience working with Utilities & EPC Groups OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Consistent workload with long-term project opportunities Opportunity to help grow and shape a skilled substation crew Strong safety culture and team-oriented environment
