Based on experience Job Summary 4GM Construction is looking for an experienced Commercial Drywall / Metal Framing Foreman to manage and lead field crews on commercial construction projects. The right candidate must have hands-on experience in demolition, metal framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, reading plans, marking layout, managing daily project activities, and completing daily reports. This position is for someone who can take responsibility for the jobsite, understand the scope of work, coordinate manpower, keep production moving, and communicate clearly with project managers, general contractors, superintendents, and field crews. Main Responsibilities Manage daily field operations for commercial interior construction projects Supervise crews performing demolition, metal framing, drywall, and acoustical ceiling work Read and understand construction plans, specifications, wall types, ceiling plans, and project details Mark and verify layout for walls, ceilings, soffits, openings, backing, and other required work Coordinate daily work tasks and assign responsibilities to crew members Track project progress and make sure work is completed according to schedule Keep accurate daily reports, including manpower, work completed, materials needed, delays, and jobsite issues Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, superintendents, and other trades Identify field conflicts and communicate them before they become major issues Make sure materials, tools, and equipment are available for the crew Maintain quality control for framing, drywall, ceilings, and finish work Make sure all work is installed straight, level, plumb, and according to project requirements Enforce jobsite safety rules and company procedures Maintain a clean and organized work area Help train and guide workers to improve production and quality Required Experience Applicants must have experience with: Commercial demolition Metal stud framing Drywall installation Acoustical ceilings / ACT grid Reading construction plans Marking layout Managing crews and jobsite production Completing daily reports Coordinating with general contractors and other trades Required Qualifications Previous experience as a foreman, lead man, or strong field leader in commercial construction Ability to read blueprints and understand project drawings Ability to manage workers and keep the project moving Strong knowledge of commercial interior construction Good communication and organization skills Reliable transportation to job sites Ability to work under deadlines and solve field issues Must be dependable, responsible, and professional Must be able to follow safety requirements and jobsite rules Preferred Qualifications OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is a plus Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Experience with insulation, backing, doors/frames, FRP, painting coordination, and light remodel work is a plus Physical Requirements Must be able to work on active commercial construction sites Must be able to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift materials as needed Must be able to use basic tools and construction equipment safely Must be able to wear required PPE at all times Schedule Monday through Friday Some weekends or overtime may be required depending on project schedule About 4GM Construction 4GM Construction is a commercial construction company serving McAllen and the Rio Grande Valley.
