Ensure correct grades, on-time completion, and strict safety compliance. Key responsibilities Supervise and direct crew tasks: trenches, pipe placement, bedding, compaction, backfill. Interpret plans and stakes; set and verify grades using pipe lasers and GPS. Keep job sites OSHA-compliant; run daily safety checks and toolbox talks. Coordinate daily with inspectors, project managers, and equipment operators. Maintain and secure tools, equipment, and vehicles; schedule basic service/repairs. Track crew productivity, quality, and schedule milestones; resolve on-site issues. Train and coach crew members; enforce standards and workmanship. Minimum requirements 3+ years as a pipe foreman or lead on utility/pipe projects. Proficient reading plans, shooting grades, and using pipe lasers/GPS. Comfortable with heavy-equipment coordination or operation. Valid driver's license and reliable attendance. Must pass pre-employment drug screen. Safety-focused and detail-oriented. Nice to have OSHA 10/30, trenching/shoring, NCCER, or CDL. Compensation & benefits Competitive pay plus medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, PTO, and paid holidays.
