Telecom Construction Supervisor

Coastal Fiber LLC is seeking an experienced Telecommunications Construction Supervisor to lead and support field crews responsible for the installation of aerial and underground fiber optic telecommunications infrastructure. This hands-on leadership role works primarily in the field, overseeing daily operations, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining production standards, and developing crew members through training, coaching, and performance management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications construction, fiber optic installation, utility line work, or outside plant (OSP) operations and possess the leadership skills necessary to manage crews, enforce company standards, and drive successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Supervise and direct crews performing aerial and underground fiber optic installations. Oversee daily field operations, work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specs. Train new and existing employees on installation techniques, safety procedures, equipment operation, and company standards. Record performance and provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and positive reinforcement. Approve timecards on a weekly basis and provide guidance for PTO requests and various requests for other time off. Address performance concerns through corrective action, documentation, and follow-up coaching as needed. Complete annual performance reviews and provide recommendations for employee development and advancement. Ensure crews comply with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and customer requirements. Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and project schedules with management and project stakeholders. Conduct job site inspections and quality control reviews to ensure workmanship meets company standards. Maintain accurate daily production reports, safety documentation, and project records. Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to safety and quality. 3+ years of supervisory or crew leadership experience in telecommunications, utility construction, fiber optic installation, electrical line work, or related field operations. Working knowledge of aerial and underground fiber optic construction methods. Experience working with bucket trucks, aerial lifts, ladders, fiber blowing equipment, and telecommunications construction tools. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to train, coach, and develop field personnel. Experience conducting employee evaluations and managing performance. Ability to read construction prints, work orders, and project documentation. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel between job sites 24/7 and 365 as needed.
