Job Description

As an Electrical Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating electrical projects within our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. You will lead a team of electricians, providing guidance, direction, and support throughout various projects. Strong leadership, technical expertise, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Responsibilities:

Project Coordination:
  • Plan and coordinate electrical projects from start to finish, including scheduling, resource allocation, and material procurement.
  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to project specifications and deadlines.

Team Leadership:
  • Supervise a team of electricians, delegating tasks and responsibilities effectively.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.

Safety Compliance:
  • Enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns promptly.
  • Ensure that all work complies with relevant safety regulations and standards, including OSHA and NEC guidelines.
4.
Quality Assurance:
  • Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to identify and resolve any issues or deficiencies promptly.
5.
Problem Solving:
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and issues as they arise, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
  • Collaborate with team members and other stakeholders to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
6.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, including work schedules, expenditures, and materials used.
  • Prepare reports and documentation as required by project stakeholders, management, or regulatory authorities.
  • Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an electrician, with experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, components, and codes/regulations.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Valid electrical contractor's license and/or certification (where applicable).
