Working Foreman Electrician

We're seeking a Working Foreman Electrician to lead crews on commercial/industrial projects while staying hands-on in the field. Responsibilities As a Working Foreman, you will own the job from mobilization through closeout , balancing leadership, productivity, and craftsmanship.

Job Ownership:

Manage site logistics, temporary power, laydown areas, access, and housekeeping.

Schedule & Manpower:

Build and maintain 2-6 week look-ahead schedules, assign and adjust manpower, align with GC milestones, and resequence when needed. Coordination with

PM/Estimator:

Review submittals, assist with buyout options, track RFIs/submittals, and surface risks early.

Material & Prefab:

Approve take-offs, stage deliveries, coordinate prefab/kitting, and prevent shortages or excess.

Safety Leadership:

Lead OSHA-compliant practices, conduct toolbox talks, implement LOTO plans, and coach/intervene when safety issues arise.

Quality & Inspections:

Implement QA/QC checklists, walk work before inspections, close corrections quickly, and maintain as-builts.

Cost Awareness & Documentation:

Track notes/photos, manage T&M tags, and support change orders and billing documentation.

Multi-Trade & AHJ Interface:

Represent Livewire with GCs, inspectors, and owners while protecting project scope.

People Development:

Mentor apprentices and journeymen, evaluate performance, and recommend promotions within the Livewire training path. Requirements Valid Virginia driver's license ( Real ID required for military base access). 5+ years of field electrical experience; at least 1-2 years in a lead or foreman role. Strong technical knowledge of branch circuits, distribution, conduit, and gear installation. Ability to lead by example — working with tools alongside your crew.
