Underground Utilities Pipe Foreman

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinates and supervises daily activities of a 2 - 8 person crew. Oversees utilization of heavy equipment to excavate, install and backfill drainage pipe. Oversees installation of various types of pipe such as storm, sewer, and waterlines Sequences pipe installation to minimize interference with other project activities and the public. Continually inspects work site, surveying for potential hazards or safety concerns. Responsible for crew safety. Establishes safe work environment that complies with the Company safety program. Observes assigned equipment to detect machinery malfunctions. Assures the proper operation and maintenance of equipment. Analyzes job cost reports to ensure production is within budget. Reviews and approves employee time reporting. Maintains professional relationship with Owner. Submit daily work report to include time, attendance, equipment used as well as materials received and installed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

: Monitor and manage employee attendance, materials and subs on site. Delegate tasks and accountabilities, instruct, supervise, lead and direct crew. Liaise with the Human Resource department on a variety of employee-related issues, including employee development, recruitment, benefits, training, terminations, and investigations. Other Employee Supervision duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

: Minimum 5 to 7 years' experience as a Foreman within the industry Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience as an Operator of Heavy Equipment. GED or High school diploma Thorough knowledge of methods, materials, and the use of equipment in pipe installation
