Fence Crew Foreman/ Crew Lead

Countryside Fence is growing and looking for an experienced Fence Crew Foreman to lead installation crews in the Wausau area. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can run jobs, lead a crew, and take ownership of production and quality in the field. We're not just looking for a good installer—we're looking for a dependable leader who can keep jobs moving, hold a crew accountable, and get work done the right way. About the Role You'll be responsible for leading a crew on a mix of residential projects, with some commercial work as we continue to grow that side of the business. This role requires someone who can take ownership of a job from start to finish—without needing constant direction. What You'll Be Doing Lead daily operations on fence installation projects Manage and motivate a 2-4 person crew Read layouts, plans, and understand job scope Coordinate materials, tools, and equipment on site Keep jobs on schedule while maintaining quality and efficiency Communicate progress, issues, and needs with operations Train and develop less experienced crew members Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite What We're Looking For Proven experience leading a crew (fence or similar construction trade) Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to keep jobs moving and crews productive Takes ownership—doesn't wait to be told what to do Hands-on work ethic (you lead from the front, not the truck) Ability to problem solve and adjust in the field Valid driver's license required Preferred (Not Required) Fence installation experience (chain link, wood, vinyl, ornamental) CDL or willingness to obtain Experience running residential jobs and/or light commercial projects Experience operating equipment (skid steer, auger, etc.) What Success Looks Like in This Role Jobs are completed on time and meet quality expectations Crews stay productive and know what they should be doing Minimal rework, punch list items, or return trips Materials, tools, and equipment are accounted for Communication with operations is clear and consistent Less experienced crew members improve over time Why Countryside Fence?
