Full-Time About Us Elk Electrical Systems is a rapidly growing industrial electrical contractor specializing in heavy industrial, mining, aggregate, manufacturing, and material handling projects throughout the eastern United States. Our work includes low and medium voltage power distribution, MCCs, conveyors, crushing/screening plants, process facilities, and industrial automation systems. We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to lead field operations on industrial electrical construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands industrial electrical work, can manage crews effectively, and takes pride in running safe, organized, high-quality projects. Position Summary The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily field operations, coordinating manpower and materials, maintaining project schedules, ensuring quality workmanship, and enforcing safety standards on industrial electrical construction projects. The ideal candidate is a strong field leader with industrial electrical experience who can communicate effectively with customers, project managers, subcontractors, and field personnel. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of electricians, helpers, subcontractors, and field crews Plan and organize work to maintain production schedules and project milestones Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, and construction documents Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and deliveries with project management Ensure installations comply with NEC, OSHA/MSHA
requirements, project specifications, and company quality standards Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce company safety policies and procedures Interface professionally with customers, plant personnel, vendors, and inspectors Track progress and communicate project updates, issues, and manpower needs to management Assist with troubleshooting, startup, testing, and commissioning activities Maintain accurate daily reports, time tracking, and job documentation Mentor and develop field personnel Qualifications 5+ years of industrial electrical experience Previous experience supervising industrial electrical crews preferred Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and construction practices Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and electrical schematics Familiarity with MCCs, motor controls, VFDs, conveyors, process equipment, and power distribution systems OSHA 30 certification preferred MSHA certification is a plus Valid driver's license and ability to travel Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to work in industrial environments including quarries, mines, manufacturing plants, and heavy industrial facilities Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Per diem for travel projects Company vehicle or vehicle allowance (if applicable) Health insurance Paid time off 401(k) Opportunities for advancement within a fast-growing company Why Join Elk Electrical Systems?
