This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of construction projects, from framing and masonry to finishing touches. As a Construction Helper, you will support skilled tradespeople by assisting with a wide range of tasks, ensuring projects stay on track and meet high standards. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced, rewarding environment. Duties Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring safety and organization at all times Support carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers, and other trades by handing tools, materials, and supplies Help with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation to understand project specifications Operate power tools and hand tools under supervision to perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, or assembling components Aid in concrete forming, finishing, and masonry work to help create durable structures Participate in construction inspection and quality control checks to ensure compliance with plans and safety standards Support heavy equipment operation and material fabrication as needed for various phases of construction projects Skills Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate task execution Experience with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment operation Knowledge of construction management principles and estimating processes Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, roofing, drywall installation (including plastering), flooring, tile laying, and masonry techniques Ability to read construction plans and interpret technical instructions effectively Experience with concrete forming, finishing, restoration work, or hardscape installation is a plus Strong teamwork skills with the ability to follow directions precisely while maintaining safety standards This role offers an energetic environment where your contributions directly impact the success of each project.
