Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic construction team as a Welder Helper/Laborer, where you'll play a vital role in supporting welding and fabrication projects across diverse sites. This energetic position offers the opportunity to develop your skills in welding, rigging, and mechanical assembly while working on challenging and rewarding projects. You'll assist skilled welders with preparation, material handling, and site setup, ensuring safety and efficiency at every step. This paid role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced construction environment. Responsibilities Assist welders with setup, positioning, and securing materials using hand tools and power tools Support fabrication tasks including sheet metal work, pipe threading, and plasma cutting Handle materials such as ductwork, sheet metal, and structural components safely and efficiently Operate cranes, forklifts, and press brake machines following safety protocols Read blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to aid in accurate assembly and fabrication Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to ensure quality workmanship Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety guidelines on construction sites Skills Construction site experience with an understanding of safety procedures and protocols Proficiency in MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings accurately Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and machining processes Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and blueprint interpretation Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication, pipe threading, soldering, plasma cutting, and assembly processes Experience operating cranes, forklifts, press brake machines, and other manufacturing equipment Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding and fabrication projects Join us to build a career where your skills grow daily in a supportive environment that values safety, craftsmanship, and teamwork.
