Job Description

Job Summary This role is responsible for the execution and support of fiber optic network operations, including installation, repair, and technical field activities. The Fiber Technician ensures network functionality, quality, and compliance by applying approved technical standards, safety guidelines, and operational best practices. This is a W-2 employment position, offering a stable opportunity to contribute directly to reliable service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Execute fiber optic installation, splicing, testing, maintenance, and service activities efficiently and accurately. Complete and maintain required work orders, technical documentation, and production records. Report time, materials, test results, and job-related data in accordance with company procedures. Perform all work in compliance with company standards, client specifications, and quality requirements . Support quality control processes and address identified issues as required Follow all safety regulations, OSHA guidelines, and site-specific safety protocol. Protect client and third-party property and promptly report any damage, incidents, or service interruptions Properly use, maintain, and return company tools, equipment, vehicles, and materials. Communicate job progress, issues, and field conditions clearly and in a timely manner Requirements Proven experience in fiber splicing, network installation, or as a service technician in the telecommunications field. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools and equipment. Familiarity with computer networking principles and practices. Experience working with low voltage systems is preferred. Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. A valid driver's license may be required for travel to job sites.
