Job Description

at City of Newark in NEWARK, Delaware, United States Job Description Responsible for the performance of routine, skilled, and unskilled tasks involving the construction and maintenance of roads, water, sewer, and stormwater utilities for a municipal Public Works & Water Resources Department. This is a temporary, full-time position through August 28, 2026; Mon.- Fri.: 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The position duration may be extended based on performance and operational needs of the Department. Starting rate is $15.74 per hour. Must be a high school graduate or equivalent (GED), possess a valid driver's license, and a good driving and work record. Must be able to understand and follow difficult and complex instructions. Must be able to present a positive image and effectively communicate with the public.
