In this role, you will assist skilled tradespeople by performing essential tasks that support the smooth progress of construction projects. Your proactive approach and willingness to learn will help ensure safety, efficiency, and quality on every job site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Assist Lead Mechanics in the construction and installation of elevators. Prepare work areas by cleaning debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring safety protocols are followed Perform basic electrical and mechanical work, including wiring, testing and troubleshooting under supervision. Handle and organize tools, equipment, and materials needed for each project. Assist in diagnosing and resolving operational issues with elevators. Prepare work areas by setting up safety barriers and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations. Ensure job sites are clean, organized and safe at all times. Participate in safety training and adhere to industry standards. Report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues to supervisors promptly Minimum Qualifications/Experience Prior experience in construction or a related manual labor field is a plus but not required; willingness to learn is essential Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures and practices Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and eagerness to develop new skills Reliable transportation to job sites and punctuality are highly valued This position requires working out of town for minimum 3 weeks at a time Drug free workplace (must pass drug test) Need valid Driver License and SSI card Not afraid of heights Ability to work in standing position for extended periods of time Ability to work in metric and English units of measure Skilled in assembling products that meet quality standar This role is perfect for motivated individuals looking to start or advance their career in construction.
