Job Overview We are looking for someone dependable and hardworking. Our employees are required to know how to swim, not be afraid of water, and be willing to work in the water. No cell phones are allowed on the jobsite unless there is a work emergency. Employees must be self-starters and not be afraid to ask questions about what is needed from them. Start pay is $17
- 18 per hour with raises when employees show they can be reliable, dependable, show up on time, and work while on the clock, not standing around on the clock.
Knowledge of construction is a plus, and knowledge of marine construction is even better, but none are required as long as you are willing and able to learn. We build docks, bulkheads, retaining walls, boathouses, install boat-lift, etc. We also have a pressure washing company that you may be trained to use. Must have reliable transportation to get to and from each jobsite. Jobsites can be anywhere in Northeast Florida. We work in Clay, Duval, Putnam, St Johns, Nassau, etc. Carpooling is an option that can be discussed with other employees. Carpooling will be strictly between employees. The company will not be a part of that decision or be the mediator for that decision. Must provide at least 3 years of work history. History must include dates of employment, contact info, and company name. No drugs or alcohol is permitted on the clock. Drug tests can be given at random, for the safety and liability of our company, customers, and our employees. Duties Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively on-site Prepare and clean construction areas, including setting up scaffolding, barricades, and safety signage Support carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry, framing, metal stud framing, and roofing installations Mix and pour concrete using mixers and concrete pumping equipment; perform concrete finishing tasks Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks to move materials and equipment efficiently Support demolition, renovation, and restoration projects by removing debris and preparing surfaces Prior construction site experience is highly preferred; familiarity with various trades is a plus Operate and support the operation of a pressure and soft wash machine. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently while maintaining safety standards
