Job Description
APH Marine Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Marine Construction Pile Driver / Lead Barge Hand to join our growing team. We specialize in seawalls, docks, boat lifts, marinas, and other waterfront construction projects throughout South Florida. This position plays a critical role in pile driving operations by coordinating with equipment operators, handling rigging, setting piles, and ensuring installations are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. This is not an entry-level labor position. We are looking for an experienced marine construction professional with strong field knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to think critically when faced with changing jobsite conditions.
Compensation & Benefits Pay:
$27.00-$32.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Communicate clearly with crane, excavator, and pile driving equipment operators. Set up and maintain pile driving leads, templates, and related equipment. Verify pile locations, alignments, and elevations. Read and interpret construction drawings, layouts, and specifications. Identify potential issues before they impact production, safety, or quality. Coordinate material handling and movement on barges and jobsites. Perform daily inspections of rigging and equipment. Maintain safe work practices around suspended loads and active equipment. Work closely with foremen and operators to achieve daily production goals. Assist with seawall, dock, marina, and boat lift construction projects as required. Qualifications Required Minimum 3 years of marine construction, pile driving, dock building, heavy civil, bridge construction, or related field experience. Valid driver's license. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to read and interpret construction plans and layouts. Ability to work outdoors in South Florida conditions. Ability to lift and handle construction materials, rigging, and tools safely. Strong situational awareness and commitment to jobsite safety. Preferred Experience with pile driving operations. Experience as a barge hand, rigger, dock builder, or marine construction crew leader. Familiarity with cranes, excavators, barges, and marine construction equipment. Rigging and signaling experience.
