Job Description

•Hiring for multiple jobs in and around the Treasure Valley•Skilled Laborer / Equipment Operator (CDL Preferred) Creighton Contracting is a well-established and growing civil construction company specializing in site development, underground utilities, grading, and paving throughout the Treasure Valley. We are known for delivering precise, efficient, and high-quality work using modern equipment and technology. We are seeking equipment operators and skilled laborers to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their work, values accuracy, accountability, and contributes to a high-performing crew. Position Overview This role combines skilled labor and heavy equipment operation in a fast-paced civil construction environment. The right candidate is comfortable working both on the ground and operating equipment, supporting projects from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Operate heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, skid steers, etc.) safely and efficiently Perform skilled labor tasks including grading, trenching, pipe installation, and site preparation Assist with underground utility installation (storm, sewer, water) Read and follow plans, grade stakes, and site layouts Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance Collaborate with crew members and foreman to meet project timelines Maintain a strong commitment to jobsite safety and accountability Qualifications Proven experience in civil construction, excavation, or site development Proficient in operating heavy equipment with accuracy and care CDL preferred (or ability/willingness to obtain) OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required Excavation safety training required Confined space training required Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions Experience with GPS-guided equipment is a plus Valid Idaho driver's license and satisfactory driving record Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and background check What We Offer Full benefits package available after 30 days Consistent, year-round work with a growing company Well-maintained, modern equipment Team-oriented environment with high standards and strong leadership Opportunities for advancement as the company continues to grow Who We're Looking For We're looking for professionals who take ownership of their work, value precision, and prioritize safety.
