General Shop Laborer

Shop Laborer Americas Gold & Silver | Kellogg, Idaho | Full-time | On-site Job Description Americas Gold & Silver is seeking a dependable and hardworking Shop Laborer to join our team at Mine Fab in Kellogg, Idaho. This role provides essential support to the fabrication, machining, and maintenance teams by assisting with shop operations, material handling, equipment preparation, and general facility upkeep. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and eager to work in a fast-paced industrial environment. Key Responsibilities Assist welders, machinists, and maintenance personnel with daily shop activities and projects. Load, unload, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment. Operate hand tools, grinders, pressure washers, forklifts, and other shop equipment safely and efficiently. Prepare materials for fabrication and machining processes, including cutting, grinding, and cleaning. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop, work areas, and equipment. Assist with equipment maintenance, repairs, and general labor tasks as needed. Follow all company safety procedures. Support inventory organization and material staging for projects. Perform general facility maintenance and housekeeping duties. Work collaboratively with shop personnel to ensure efficient workflow and operations.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

High school diploma or GED. Previous experience in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, or mining environment preferred. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand and power tools preferred. Ability to safely lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work. Forklift experience preferred. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team. Valid driver's license required. Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety.
