Job Description

SUMMARY The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of tasks to improve and maintain the physical quality of an assigned property or project. The incumbent performs general work to clean and prepare job sites. This position might also require using a variety of hand-held tools and construction equipment when required. All activities must support Advantix's strategic goals and objectives and produce results that accomplish the goals of the overall organization.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Primary areas of responsibility and tasks that may typically be expected include but are not limited to: Unloads tools, prepares building site materials, stacks building materials, and sets up equipment. Implements project instructions from construction manager or supervisor. Employs construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks. Ensures regulated and proper headgear, ear plugs, gloves, safety glasses and clothing are worn. Completes all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner. Operates a variety of tools and construction equipment in accordance with safety procedures. Prepares new construction sites by digging, moving dirt, or compacting space. Aids contractors (i.e., craft workers, electricians, painters) as needed. Cleans and clears debris from construction sites. Ensures construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly. Performs other related duties as assigned. Maintains a safe working environment by following all company and OSHA safety protocols.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR CERTIFICATION
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required as well as two (2) years of equivalent general labor experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Possession of valid Indiana Driver's License.

Must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance. Some tools and machines are computerized, requiring technical knowledge. Knowledge of safety, fire prevention and first aid techniques. Exceptional skills in measurement and mathematical calculations. Excellent oral communication. Demonstrated prompt regular work attendance. Positive attitude and work ethic.
COMPUTER AND ADMINISTRATIVE SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have average abilities using computer software such as MS Word, and Outlook and should be capable of using internet resources for research and developing reports. Proficient in operating and troubleshooting personal and laptop computers. Ability to learn other computer software programs as required by assigned tasks.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Frequently move about the interior and exterior of assigned property. Work indoors and outdoors in a variety of conditions. Must have the ability to stand, bend, squat and lift and carry items weighing more than 75 pounds, heavier items occasionally with assistance. Work involves the normal risks or discomforts associated with a construction worksite environment. The employee may be exposed to hazardous conditions and weather extremes
