Construction Laborer

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. Cooper Construction is an Emporia based company working on KDOT highways throughout Kansas. Home most nights with minimal travel. Perdium and travel expenses paid. The ideal candidate will assist in various construction projects installing highway sign, guardrails, lights, etc. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team environment. Must be dependable and self motivated. Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screening is to be expected. Duties Assist with the preparation of job sites by clearing debris and setting up necessary equipment. Carry out basic construction tasks such as digging, lifting, climbing ladders and moving materials. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision. Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled tradespeople to complete assigned tasks. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines. Skills Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods. Basic knowledge of construction practices and tools is preferred but not required. Ability to follow directions accurately and work collaboratively with others. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members. Attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. Willingness to learn new skills and techniques relevant to the construction industry. Unrestricted Driver's License required, CDL is a plus. We can assist with CDL training and testing for the right candidate.
