Full-Time Position Overview:

A worker with strong work ethic committed to safety and quality on all project sites. As a laborer, you will assist in a variety of construction tasks, including excavation, site preparation, concrete work, and supporting other skilled trades. This position is ideal for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the heavy civil construction industry, especially in specialized environmental and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the construction of sea walls, utility installation, marshland restoration, and other heavy civil projects. Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris, setting up equipment, and ensuring a safe and organized work area. Operate hand tools and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, jackhammers) safely and efficiently. Assist in concrete pouring and finishing, excavation, and trenching. Follow safety protocols and always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Support project supervisors and skilled laborers with various tasks on-site. Participate in the installation and maintenance of utility lines, erosion control, and other infrastructure work. Assist in the restoration of wetlands, marshlands, and other environmental areas as part of our environmental projects. Maintain and care for tools and equipment. Follow instructions from project managers and foremen to ensure project completion on time and within budget.

Skills:

Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team. Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in the construction industry. Ability to lift and carry heavy materials (50 lbs or more). Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in heavy civil construction projects such as infrastructure, utility work, and environmental restoration. Familiarity with safety standards related to wetlands, marshlands, and Army Corps projects. Forklift and other heavy equipment operation certification (a plus).
