About the RoleThe Construction Technician II is a hands-on role supporting apartment renovation and construction management efforts. This position focuses on interior demolition, installation, finishing, and quality control to ensure renovated units are safe, functional, and ready for residents.

Interior Demolition & PreparationRemove lights, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, hardware, and other interior componentsPerform drywall and door repair as part of renovation preparationMaintain a clean and safe work area during demolition activitiesInstallation & Finish WorkInstall lighting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, appliances, hardware, and window coveringsComplete drywall repair, painting, and interior finish workUse power and hand tools safely and effectivelyPunch, Quality & Unit ReadinessComplete punch and finish work to make units Rent ReadySupport inspections by the Superintendent and Property ManagementMonitor unit turn schedules and unit statusMaterials & CoordinationControl and organize purchased renovation materials within unitsAssist with monitoring subcontractors performing work in unitsUnlock and lock units for renovation teams and subcontractorsWhy You'll Love FairfieldWe're all about creating communities that people are proud to call home. What We're Looking ForEducation & CertificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredExperienceAt least 2 years of prior experience with electrical, plumbing, appliance installation, drywall repair and painting.

Knowledge and ability to use power and hand tools.

Experience working in occupied or vacant residential renovation environments preferred.

Experience coordinating with subcontractors and construction teams preferred.

Estimated Rate of Pay:
$25.11 - $28.08This position is non-exempt; the range above reflects hourly rates.
