Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Solar Rooftop General Laborer on a short-term project dedicated to expanding renewable energy solutions. This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the installation of solar rooftop systems, supporting sustainable energy initiatives. You will be actively involved in various construction and electrical tasks, ensuring the successful setup of solar panels and related equipment. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to gain hands-on experience in the growing solar industry while working on a fast-paced, collaborative project. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and layout of solar panel mounting structures on rooftops, ensuring adherence to project plans and safety standards Use hand tools and power tools to install racking systems, fixtures, and electrical components according to schematics and blueprints Support roofing activities, including material handling, flashing, and waterproofing to ensure system integrity Aid in electrical work such as fixture installation, wiring low voltage and high voltage systems, and reading electrical schematics in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards Operate construction equipment like forklifts safely for material transport and positioning around the site Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper PPE usage and hazard recognition on construction sites Collaborate with team members to ensure project milestones are met efficiently and effectively Skills Prior experience with roofing, electrical work, or general construction is highly desirable Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction site equipment such as forklifts Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems along with NEC compliance standards Experience working on commercial or large-scale construction sites preferred Familiarity with plumbing or fixture installation is a plus but not required Strong physical stamina for lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights on rooftops This role offers an engaging environment where your skills will directly impact renewable energy projects.
