Job Description
Job Summary B Construction Group is hiring General Laborers to support a factory scrap project in Jay, Maine. General Laborers will perform a variety of physical tasks including site cleanup, material handling, loading and unloading scrap, and assisting skilled trades. This is an immediate-start opportunity with multiple openings. Key Responsibilities Load, unload, move, and stack scrap materials and equipment. Sort scrap into appropriate piles (ferrous, non-ferrous, debris). Assist welders, cutters, and handymen as directed. Sweep, shovel, and keep work areas clean and organized. Operate small hand and power tools (grinders, drills, saws) safely. Follow all safety rules, wear required PPE, and report hazards immediately. Help with loading scrap trailers and roll-off containers. Perform other physical tasks as assigned by the foreman or project manager. Requirements Ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions. Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift. Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing for long periods. Reliable transportation to the Jay, Maine job site. Strong work ethic, punctual, and team-oriented. Ability to follow verbal instructions and safety procedures. Ability to pass a pre-employment screening. Preferred (Nice to Have) Prior construction, demolition, or scrap yard experience.
