Advanced Communication & Data builds fiber optic networks for home and businesses throughout Michigan, Indiana and Ohio.
Job Title:
Entry-Level Outdoor Laborer (Underground Fiber Crew) Tired of being stuck in an office or a warehouse? Join our underground boring crew and help us build the future of local internet. This is a tough, rewarding outdoor job where you'll learn the ins and outs of directional drilling. Fiber optic construction is a booming industry. Emphasize that this isn't just "digging holes"—it's a career path into telecommunications construction.
The Job:
You'll be the "boots on the ground" for our drill crews. Lots of shoveling, digging, and moving equipment. You'll learn how to read utility markings and assist with high-tech drilling machinery.
Work Schedule:
Full-time, Monday-Friday (plus some OT).
What You Need:
A strong work ethic. If you like staying busy and working with your hands, you'll fit right in. A valid driver's license. Ability to pass a drug screen and background check. Experience in landscaping, roofing, or general labor is a plus, but not required. Ability to travel for out of town work several days at a time.
