Job Description

Assistant Attorney General Labor Section ~ St. Louis The Missouri Attorney General's Office is actively seeking attorneys with excellent credentials for an Assistant Attorney General position in the Labor Section in St. Louis . The Labor Section provides general counsel and litigation services in Missouri Workers' Compensation claims for the Missouri State Treasurer in his capacity as custodian of the Second Injury Fund (Fund) and for the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations in its role administering the Fund. The Labor Section similarly provides general counsel and litigation services for Missouri's Office of Administration, Central Accident Reporting Office (CARO) in defending workers' compensation claims filed against a multitude of state agencies by their employees. The position may involve intermittent daytime or overnight travel within Missouri. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Missouri. Candidates with relevant experience and education will be considered for an interview. Salary is commensurate with experience. EOE
