About the Role As a Pre-Apprenticeship Laborer, you'll help keep our jobsites organized, stocked, clean, and ready for production. You'll support our painting and drywall crews while learning the fundamentals of the trades and proving your readiness for advancement into an apprenticeship position. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, wants to learn practical skills, and is looking for a long-term career opportunity. What You'll Be Doing Materials & Equipment Pick up and deliver materials, tools, and equipment Load and unload materials safely Organize storage areas, trailers, and inventory Help maintain accurate inventory counts Jobsite Support Assist crews with setup and takedown Perform jobsite cleanup throughout projects Help ensure every jobsite is cleaner than we found it Support painters and drywall crews as needed Pre-Job Preparation Review pre-job readiness checklists Verify materials and equipment are available before crews arrive Communicate with crew leaders about supply needs Help prepare jobsites for successful production Skill Development Learn basic painting and drywall techniques Assist with apprentice-level tasks under supervision Participate in company training Demonstrate readiness for advancement Skills You'll Begin Learning Painting Caulking Spackling Basic masking and protection Site preparation and cleanup Drywall Filling screw heads (spotting) Basic sanding Material handling and setup Tool cleaning and maintenance You're a Great Fit If You... Have reliable transportation and able to navigate the St Louis area Show up on time and ready to work Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude Enjoy working with your hands Can follow directions and work as part of a team Want to learn a skilled trade Are comfortable lifting materials and working outdoors Take pride in doing quality work Bonus Points If You Have...
