Springfield Project Office, 2549 N. Mayfair Avenue, Springfield, MO If selected for further consideration, you will be contacted to schedule an interview for Thursday, May 21st, 2026. Why you'll love this position: The construction technician provides semi-skilled technical or paraprofessional support in connection with the construction of engineering projects. Responsibilities are performed under moderate supervision. Responsibilities - What you'll do Perform basic construction tests such as air, slump, moisture, compaction, aggregate gradation, and density; report results to supervisor. Perform measurements, computations, or other work in preparing final plans, change orders, and contractor payment estimates. Assist in inspection of bituminous and portland cement concrete plants and/or grading, base, bituminous or concrete paving. Maintain records and prepare reports pertaining to inspections; keep supervisor informed of activities or unusual conditions; ensure projects meet department standards. Enter and record information regarding construction projects into computer programs. Qualifications - All you need for successMinimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED/HiSET. OSHA 10-Hour Certification required within 90 days. Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.Special Working Conditions:
Job requires moderate physical activity. Job requires exposure to physical hazards, health and safety risks, and/or adverse or otherwise undesirable characteristics in the environment. Basic math skills, consistent with high school level algebra, will be necessary to perform many of this title's duties. Job may require operation of vehicles to plow snow and spread ice control materials.
