Job Description

The Railroad Group, LLC is looking for construction laborers to perform a variety of tasks involving physical labor to build, repair and maintain railroad track. Will use a variety of hand and power tools and other construction equipment. Must have stamina and the ability to lift heavy loads. You should be able to concentrate on performing your tasks and commit to safety rules. Must be able to follow directions and work as a team player.
Construction Laborer Responsibilities:
Cleans and prepares construction work sites to eliminate possible hazards. Attaches rail, remove spikes, lift, and handle railroad crossties. Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks (digging, stacking goods, etc.). Loads, unloads, and identifies building materials, machinery, and tools, and distributes them to the appropriate locations. Follows company and industry safety rules, practices, and procedures. Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions to Supervisor.
Construction Laborer Requirements:
Must be 18 years or older. Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Willing to work various shift schedules, including nights and weekends. Ability to travel to various project and work sites as needed. Must be able to pass Federally Mandated Drug and Alcohol tests, as well as a 7 year Background Investigation. Federally Mandated Drug testing includes the use of marijuana. Possess
