General Laborer / Technician Powerhouse Contracting is hiring a General Laborer / Technician to join a growing, full-service contracting team serving residential and commercial clients across the Albuquerque metro and Northern New Mexico. A smartphone for clocking in and out, communicating with your project manager, and reviewing job details in our company app. Ability to complete required paperwork and provide two forms of legal identification for I-9 verification. What You'll Do Work as a laborer and helper on construction, remodel, and maintenance job sites — painting, baseboards, caulking, ceiling fan installs, and general finish work. Use hand tools and power tools confidently and safely (you must have your own basic set of tools). Light plumbing tasks such as toilet installs, sink installs, and faucet replacements. Demolition and property clean-outs. General landscaping and yard work as assigned. Load, unload, and stage materials at the shop and on site. Follow all Powerhouse safety protocols and OSHA standards on every job. Communicate clearly with your project manager, crew, and clients — represent Powerhouse professionally on every property. Perform other duties as assigned to support the crew and the customer. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Work indoors and outdoors in all New Mexico weather conditions — heat, cold, sun, wind, and dust. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted; occasionally more with help. Stand, walk, stoop, crouch, twist, crawl, reach, bend, and climb ladders for up to 10 hours per day. Use hands and fingers for fine and repetitive tasks; ability to hear, speak, and see clearly to communicate and stay safe. Willingness to work overtime when project schedules require it. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Preferred Prior experience in construction, remodeling, handyman, or trades work. Valid New Mexico driver's license and clean driving record. Bilingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.
