Day Laborer Temporary Project (Dry Pond Sediment Cleaning)

Job Summary Join our team as a Day Laborer for a temporary project focused on dry pond sediment cleaning. In this vital role, you will assist with the safe and efficient removal of accumulated sediment from dry ponds to improve water quality and environmental health. Responsibilities Assist with the manual removal and transportation of pond sediment using basic tools and equipment Support team members in setting up work zones, safety barriers, and signage around the project site Help with the operation of light machinery under supervision, such as wheelbarrows or small loaders Follow all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency throughout the project Collaborate with team members to meet daily project goals and deadlines Report any safety concerns or hazards immediately to supervisors Skills Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments for extended periods Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively with crew members Willingness to learn safety procedures and equipment operation basics Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for project success Basic understanding of environmental or construction work is a plus but not required Positive attitude, motivated to contribute to a team effort in a dynamic setting This role is paid, offering valuable hands-on experience in environmental maintenance projects.
