This role is critical to the successful buildout of one of the premier youth volleyball events in the country. We are specifically looking for individuals with forklift certification and/or prior experience installing Sport Court flooring, athletic courts, or large-scale event flooring systems . Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, lifting heavy materials, and following setup timelines with precision. This is ideal for day laborers, event crew, warehouse professionals, or tradespeople who have experience with physical setup work and equipment operation. Responsibilities Assist with unloading trucks and staging materials for court installation Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move flooring, nets, poles, and equipment Install Sport Court flooring and properly align court sections Assist with setting volleyball standards, net systems, padding, and court equipment Follow floor plans and setup instructions from event leadership Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area throughout setup Troubleshoot minor setup issues and communicate concerns promptly Assist with teardown and repacking materials after the event if needed Work efficiently to meet deadlines and complete setup on schedule Uphold JBJ Events standards of professionalism and safety onsite Skills & Qualifications Forklift certification strongly preferred Prior experience with Sport Court installation , athletic flooring, convention setup, staging, or similar event buildouts preferred Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the shift Comfortable working on your feet for long hours in a warehouse/convention center environment Reliable, punctual, and ready to work early mornings or full-day shifts Strong teamwork and communication skills Ability to follow directions and adapt quickly in a fast-moving setup environment Experience in construction, warehouse, rigging, or live event labor is a plus
