Construction Technician

Job Summary:

To perform construction, renovations and custom carpentry needs throughout the agency.

Qualifications:

Must have the physical ability to shovel snow, move furniture, unload deliveries and work on roofs or outside under wet/cold/hot conditions. Minimum of 5 years of overall renovation and construction experience required High School Diploma or GED Valid NYS Drive's license within agency driving criteria Maryhaven's Mission is to enrich the lives of people with special needs.

Essential Functions:

Performs the following tasks according to building codes and specifications:

• Bathroom and kitchen renovations
• Wood and metal framing.
• Renovation/demolition
• Sheetrock
• Spackling
• Plumbing
• Roofing and siding.
• Finish carpentry and trim.
• Drop Ceilings. Ceramic Tile. Completes necessary paperwork for each assignment such as:
• Receipts
• Service Tickets
• Work Orders Carries a cell phone and responds promptly to messages and calls, during and after regular business hours.

Reports safety needs immediately and/or corrects them when observed. Snow removal, plowing and shoveling. Moving offices, community-based individuals and classrooms as needed.
