Responsibilities Safely operate bucket trucks, cranes, rigging equipment, and other tools to perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal tasks Assist with landscape maintenance including lawn care, planting, mulching, and general landscaping duties Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) technology to assist with site mapping and project planning when necessary Conduct routine inspections of trees and landscapes to identify health issues or hazards requiring attention Support tree care projects by rigging branches or debris for safe removal or disposal Maintain equipment such as bucket trucks and tools in excellent working condition through regular inspections and basic upkeep Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment Qualifications Prior growing experience or background in horticulture, landscaping, or arboriculture preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners Demonstrated ability to operate bucket trucks and other landscaping machinery safely Knowledge of tree care practices including trimming, pruning, and disease identification Familiarity with rigging techniques used in tree removal or limb lowering operations Basic understanding of GIS technology is a plus but not mandatory Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform outdoor labor in various weather conditions Commitment to safety procedures and teamwork-oriented mindset This role is perfect for individuals eager to grow their expertise in tree care, landscaping, and land management while contributing to vibrant outdoor spaces.
