Excavation Laborer

Job Description:

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. This position is ideal for a young employee who is motivated and willing to learn the construction trade. No extensive experience is required — we are willing to train the right person who shows up on time, works hard, and wants to grow with the company. Our work mainly involves replacing underground utilities such as water mains, sewer mains, and other public utilities , along with occasional basement excavations and limited residential work. The job includes physical labor, working around excavation sites, and assisting with utility installation.

Responsibilities:

Assist with site preparation and cleanup Load and unload construction materials Use hand shovels, rakes, jackhammers, drills, and other hand tools Assist crews working on underground utilities including water mains and sewer mains Operate basic tools and equipment Support skilled trades and equipment operators as needed Help with demolition, digging, trench work, and material handling

Requirements:

Willingness to learn and take direction Ability to perform physical labor and lift up to 50 lbs Reliable transportation to job sites Ability to work long days when needed Strong work ethic and punctuality Must be able to show up early every day with a good attitude, even after long workdays Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Preferred (Not Required): Some construction knowledge or previous labor experience Basic knowledge of construction tools OSHA safety certification

Pay:

$25.00 - $38.00 per hour
