Must Have Requirements:
HS Diploma or equivalent Construction background/experience Valid driver's license and can pass an MVR Reliable transportation to and from the office Willingness to travel around Ohio to project sites Trainable and a quick learner if they do not have any experience

Experience testing other construction materials (soil, asphalt, or aggregate) ACI Concrete field-testing certification OR Nuclear Densometer Safety Certification (Nuke Gauge) Perform field testing of soils, aggregates, asphalt, and concrete during construction Conduct site inspections, testing, and material sampling Collect, document, and organize field data; prepare and submit field reports Job Summary The Concrete Materials Tester supports transportation and infrastructure projects by performing field testing, inspection, and documentation of concrete and related construction materials. This role ensures materials meet project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements while coordinating closely with project engineers, contractors, and inspectors on active construction sites. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Perform on-site testing of concrete during placement, including sampling, slump, air content, temperature, and strength testing Conduct field inspections and quality control activities in accordance with project specifications, DOT standards, and industry requirements Collect, label, and transport concrete samples for laboratory testing as required Accurately document test results, field observations, and construction quantities Prepare and submit daily field reports in a clear, organized, and timely manner Communicate test results and observations with project engineers, contractors, and client representatives Verify materials and placement methods comply with approved plans and specifications Maintain, calibrate, and properly store testing equipment Follow all jobsite safety procedures, traffic control requirements, and public safety standards Travel to multiple project sites as needed and support additional testing or inspection duties as assigned
